Meet the producers

Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza must deal with difficult circumstances to maintain daily life. This includes trying to maintain a national economy, getting to agricultural lands, work, schools and hospitals through a vast system of Israeli checkpoints. Farmers are especially vulnerable out in their fields. They face routine attacks from armed Israeli settlers and soldiers, all the more so during the olive harvest each fall.

Despite these hardships Palestinians persist to live, work, and maintain the best society possible.

Mountain High Imports seeks to assist these farmers by opening markets in the US for their products. Our olive oil comes through the Palestine Fair Trade Association, which ensures farmers are treated fairly and paid equitably in a timely fashion. Such standards are certified on an annual basis ensuring that the supply chain, from tree branch to tabletop, is just and fair.
